Permanent removal of unwanted hair.
In the older days (1889) Galvanic Electrolysis was available after Luigi Galvani had discovered it. Unfortunately this Chemical method was very painful although it was a very permanent. Later on Short Wave Diathermy was discovered and this method was less painful but the results were not as good as the Galvanic method. The Blend method in electrolysis was discovered by Henri St. Pierre and Arthur Hinkle and this was found to be fantastic because here the methods were combined together and the results are the best to achieve! Now we have the combination of both the Galvanic and Short Wave Diathermy were both the heat and the chemical of both systems work together! Hence THE BLEND!
The syllabus includes:
The study of all methods of Electrology-Galvanic, Short Wave Diathermy and Blend. How each machine works and what methods of electricity they work with. Electrical currents and Needles.
Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin, Hair, Endocrinology and the causes of unwanted hair. Other alternative methods of unwanted hair. Practice of treating clients with Electrology treatments.

Students sitting for ITEC exams need to work on a case study working on 5 different clients and also need to provide consultation and work on 10 individual treatments, which will be monitored and guided by the tutor all throughout the course. Tests and HW will be given regularly. Classes are kept small (six maximum). Practical work must be done under tutor supervision.
Important!
All courses consist of Theory and Practice which will be done during the lesson and practice is to be done extra to build hours of training (except for Diet and Nutrition).
Practice can be done at the Centre. The use of the Centre facilities is included in the fees for/of the courses.
All courses also consist of a Unit which puts together: Ethics, Sterilisation, First Aid, Business Studies. This Unit is compulsory but students sit for the Unit only once and the result of this exam will always be added to the result of each exam that the students sits after the initial one.
Practical examinations will be conducted by ITEC examiners.
Theory examinations are all Multiple choice: Stem, 1 key and 3 distracters.
Seminars or short courses are available for people who are already studying in the field.
